The DA said that I slammed the officer’s head against the wall multiple times, but the officer admitted in my own transcript that his body or skin never touched the wall....Also, I had 9 different officers testify against me who were never one the scene in the first place.

Crime of Conviction
Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant; Possession of Controlled Substance

Year of Conviction
2012

M.W. was convicted and sentenced to life in prison following a trial. He has currently served 13 years of this sentence. M.W. reports discrepancies between his conviction and the reality of the case, including differences between the charges and the police officer’s testimony. Additionally, he believes the trial was unfair because 9 other officers testified who he claims were never at the scene. He feels that his counsel represented him ineffectively and that the prosecution misrepresented the facts of the case.
