J.I. claims that he was in a different state and therefore not at the scene of the murder he was convicted of, and that he has multiple witnesses who can counter his conviction. He reports that he was falsely chosen out of a line-up and that a newly discovered witness can also counter his conviction. He has filed multiple appeals, all of which have failed. He also says that the Innocence Project and Legal Aid Society have looked into his case.
