C.F. was arrested in 2009 and charged with two life sentences on one murder case. He claims that his action was self-defense. During his arrest, C.F. was beaten, withheld food, and denied medical treatment. To this day, C.F. can only hear out of one ear. Additionally, after his arrest, he discovered that his arresting officer was related to his judge. During the trial, C.F. requested a new attorney after his attorney was absent for much of the case. This request was denied
